“Alternative truths are an oxymoron.” by poet.
What do my truths look like?
In an ideal world, everyone would recognize them;
but we do not live in that world, do we?
My truths don't mean I leave no room for imagination;
life is more subtle than that.
Humans are not machines; truth needs the flexibility to bend
without compromising the integrity of its meaning in our lives.
Telling a child that there's a Santa Clause isn't true;
but there is no malicious in that deception,
it is a fabrication, a story.
All truths may appear to be absolute, but they're not;
truths have varied interpretations based on how they are perceived.
Truths are facts that stand alone;
without the need to believe or defend them.
