My Terrier

I sat at my desk, watching my terrier paw pillows
on my bed in order to make a nest.

I said to my terrier, "If I had the money, I would build
a fine tunnel from the bedroom
to your own dog-den, a safe area of rest.

There, you could sometimes go and live dog life
at dog's life best."

I beamed at her with my suggested benevolence.

My terrier then collapsed into my pillows-
Unimpressed.

A cute/fun write. Tell your doggie "Thank You" for the write. They have a mind of their own. Have a Blessed Easter..............

For the love of animals, what we do and would like to do. I enjoyed your poem about your Terrier friend, Scott. I do believe they can read us. Have a great weekend, Bill

It seems your terrier had a different plan. "Unimpressed" indeed, with your idea. This cute, clever and so creative. Your thoughts bring a smile. :) Brandy

Thanks so much, Brandy. I appreciate it. By the way, thanks also for your comment on my Haiku some time back. I neglected to reply, a rookie mistake! I am becoming much more comfortable "in the soup."
