My Special Poet

My special poet, has the recipe written down. Ink and words will flow, flow like fast moving lava. Whether a Rhyme or Limerick, maybe a free verse or a short Haiku. My special poet knows the recipe, it is all about the feelings of the words. Words have power for the reader, both bad or good power to share. My special poet has learned, from writing and rewriting what to do. The recipe is to write for the reader, for their enjoyment. My special poet now turns out, great poems. Some short and some long, their readers always come back to read more.

I think you strike the balance just right here Paula, by not actually naming an individual, and going for the collective instead, of course we all have penchants for certain poets and poems, and can always do a personal tribute if we feel the need, I enjoyed this committed yet noncommittal piece, cheers David
