Sometimes the littlest things we do can make us feel a whole lot better.

Thankfully, I have opened my eyes this morning. I have smelt the aroma from the coffee urn that has been automatically set for 6am. As I stepped out of my bed and onto my cold hardwood floors, my bare feet feel the coolness as it penetrates immediately and wakens my eyes that have been sprinkled by the sandman. I walk out of my bedroom, down my hallway, and down the six steps that lead to my dining room area. I then slowly walk over to the cupboard and grab hold of my favorite coffee mug. After pouring my mug of hot brew, I pull out my cushioned chair and sit quietly, sipping. In silence, thinking to myself, the first thought that comes to my mind is, wow, I hope everyone else is well today...have my overnight prayers been heard? Then suddenly from the cracks of my walls a scary looking spider has journeyed out and trekked his way across my hardwood floors and found his way onto the top of my dining room table. Appearing first across from me at the other end of the table, it hurriedly raced towards my coffee mug that sat six inches away from my left hand that was resting on the edge of the table. Slowly, I raised my right hand in attempt to either squish him or quickly swat him away. With the risk of being bit, I did neither. I then took this very piece of paper that I have been writing all of this down on and cautiously lured him onto it. As I softly walked over to my backyard sliding glass doors, I slid open the door and I gently placed the piece of paper with the spider still on it onto the concrete patio and spared the life of the little creature. I then walked back to my dining room table, sat down, took another sip of my hot brew, and said to myself. "Yeah, my prayers have been heard"
