My Owl Visitor
When an owl comes to visit,
Listen to what he has to say,
You might not hear it,
But you will know in another way.
For they always bring a message
To let you know what‘s ahead.
To warn or enlighten you,
And how to make your bed.
Feel special with his visit,
For he visits not everyone.
Heed what he has to say,
Be thankful for his action.
I had one visit me last night,
And we sat and talked awhile
Ten feet away,
Maybe he thought it was a mile.
He left me with a message,
A message so clear,
My life is about to change,
When the time is here.
He also said not to force things
But let them happen, as they will,
Then when time is due,
I’ll be able to chill.
Indians have told me,
To always listen to the owl,
For he is very wise,
He knows what’s missing now.
So, I know what I must do,
And to start my life anew.
And I pray that someday,
It will be with you.
