My Neighbor and Me

A rock wall in your kitchen, Why? The neighbor asked me. I knew then We would not be having slumber parties. Did your grandchildren paint your front door? She queried as we approached the house. This is when I resolved to not let her in. We were not only not going to be friends, I was going to knock her off my Acquaintance list. Those cartoons are mine. And it was not easy getting all of those Colors to stick on one measly front door. I have just remembered I have to wash my dog, I told her. Come back another day. It may have been abrupt, but I think she got the hint.

I have to admit I used to be insanely neighborly. Not any more.
