My Mountain Home

When the mountains call to me, I shall go For rejuvenation in my mountain home, Hearing the wind in the pine trees echo When the mountains call to me, I shall go. For, you see, there is no other place I know Where I can allow my mind to freely roam When the mountains call to me, I shall go For rejuvenation in my mountain home.

I can hear the mountains calling you, Milt, and I can see them beckoning, as if they've fingers. :) gw

I think sometimes they do, gw. Actually, I feel them calling in my bones! Thanks!

This triolet form is really growing on me, but likely because I’m reading some really good examples. Another great one, I too love the repeat of the lines at the end.

I find them very easy to write, so I go to this form frequently if the theme seems to fit. Thanks.

Nicely penned, Milton, as repetition and longing effectively merge, (poetically effective) especially strong in your final two lines. Be well. Brian
