My Morning Walk

There’s nothing quite as refreshing
as a walk on the beach in the morn.
As the sun peeks over the horizon,
announcing the new day is born.
The waves endlessly lapping the shore,
and the steady sea breeze in your face;
the serene quiet of the early day,
it is such a beautiful place.
The gulls walking on the water’s edge
take to wing as you come near.
With the cool, wet sand beneath your feet,
you face the day without a fear.
The freedom we have is a gift from above,
and there’s nothing quite as refreshing
as walking on the beach in the early morn;
we should be thankful for such a blessing.
