My Morning Ritual

MY MORNING RITUAL I stumble to the kitchen Brew coffee right away Then I go to my prayer closet Where I secretly pray I spend some undisturbed quiet time With the Creator of heaven and earth And thank Him for every Blessing Especially His begotten Son's Birth During my quiet time alone with God I enter my prayers in a journal Praying for people everywhere And for our destiny eternal Without my morning ritual My day does not go well And that is why I take the time For what to God I tell You are on my prayer list Although we've never met But in my morning ritual I never do forget To thank God for you each morning As I take the time to pray And ask Him to Bless you richly And grant you a wonderful day 22 December 2017 For entry in contest sponsored by Line Gauthier

Very well done, Curtis - congratulations on your Honorable Mention, and Happy New Year, my friend - what a wonderfully faithful and peaceful way to start the day! :-)

Thanks, Greg! Honorable mention is better than N/A. I have been journaling prayers for about 20 years. My 1st published poem is entitled 'Quiet Time With God'. It still remains my favorite of all times. Happy New Year to you too, Buddy!
