My Love Is Eternal
Oh, I weep your tragic death my love,
for we thought we had a long future together;
but, you left me suddenly for Heaven above,
all because you crashed your car in bad weather;
your essence drifted away a delicate fluttering feather.
I have carried this deep sadness for so many years,
wearing it each day like a heavy cloak of grief;
putting on a mask of happiness to hide my tears,
oh, Angel of Death came and took my love like a thief;
I pray at night for peace, oh Lord is there no relief.
And though my grief is forever - happiness I recall,
and rise above the pain and with hand on heart I smile;
at those times of joy both the big and the small,
my love, I must move on and will not come for awhile;
I want to improve my life and make each day worthwhile.
