My Life Is Forever In the Lord

Sky is high,
seas are deep,
my life is forever
in Jesus Christ the Lord.

I have no wisdom to escape from the swamp of sin
where the dark shadow waits on me,
I have no strength to swim upstream of temptation
where my soul sinks to the bottom,
nonetheless, by getting on the Lord’s back,
I can overcome all those enticements
and go anywhere I wish, the Lord’s way.

No matter how steep is the mountain,
or how vast and deserted the land,
I am able to cross over them
because the Lord’s word is my wings.

Sky is high,
seas are deep,
my life is forever
in Jesus Christ the Lord.
