My Last Ounce of Energy

I've used up every last ounce
    of energy I've got...

Comes a gentle knock on my ego
    'No, you have not'

I understand the loss of energy. When I was a rugby player and thought I was immortal, I was full of energy. That was well over 30 years ago. I have been humbled so many times since...the energy has been spent. Thank you for sharing, Ed

Heh-heh. I hear you loud and clear, Edward. That feeling of immortality really exists, and then - poof, it's gone. There's a poem in there for you or me, or for both of us. ~ Here's to bygones,... but let them be bygones as we bravely keep putting one foot in front of the other... Faith and Strength, Gershon
