Notes About The Poem

My Last Goodbye

The moment I met you
You captured my heart
Said you were the only one for me
I was the sweetest girl you ever did see

Hey boy its time to admit defeat
You say you’re faithful to me
But in my heart I know you’re a cheat

You always have an excuse whenever I call
Guess you’ve found another that you enthrall
Thinking of you together makes my skin crawl

I can see those lies in your brown eyes
Those hidden lies that I so despise
I think its time to say we’re through
This deceit and your lies are making me blue

So this is my last goodbye
I wrote you this song so it catches your eye
I’m gonna move on, I’m not gonna cry
But I’ll keep on lovin you till the day I die
