One dark rainy night I found a black cat, she was all black except for eyes of blue; I decided to make her a sweet dress and hat, it had polka dots and dots, dots, dots - ooh! She refused to wear the hat- NO, she said, but she loved the dress and walked around proud; she liked it so much she wore it to bed, when someone called her real pretty she bowed. Of course, kitty, kitty, kitty had to- stay, and her dot dress became her namesake name; she walked with a strut, strut, sway and sashay, and I treasure her photograph now kept in a frame. _________________________ January 9, 2019 Poetry/Rhyme/My Kitty, Polka Dots Copyright Protected, ID 19-1102-220-02 All Rights Reserved. Carolyn, don't know what got into me writing a delightful poem because as you know my poems are dark and weeping, but polka dots brought out the fun in me. Those eyes were blue by the way, thanks for the great comment and hugs ~

Such a cute kitty poem - loved it and best of luck with the contest. We had a cat hide under our car over the festive season, a ginger kitten, we kept her but found out only the other day its a Him! Poetry wishes, Jennifer.

Jennifer, thanks for the visit and comment, what will you name your she.. now he ginger kitty. I had a ginger cat once I called, Marmalade? BTW, if you think Polka Dots, is a strange name for a cat, my friend calls her black cats, Dippy Dot and Flippy Flop.
