My Interview On the Radio

I was interviewed on Manx Radio about my poetry journey and it was broadcast today - the whole clip is about 7 minutes long. By the way it is not me reading the snippets of poems. The programme can be found on 'on demand' the show is called 'women today' and was dated 5th August this is the link for you to paste into your browser If you go to the black bar under the Manx Radio logo and scroll along to 14 minutes 45 seconds this is a good time to start listening to it http://www.manxradio.com/radioplayer/od/1762/ I have also done this as a blog ... but as not everyone reads the blog page I posted it here too Hugs Jan x 5th August 2015

The incredible thing was James I got an e mail from Daz about 30 mins before the broadcast was aired - our first direct contact in 9 months - i actually talked about Daz on the interview ... it was more than co-incidence he chose that day to mail me .. like so much that has happened ... it was simply meant to be:-) hugs Jan xx

Jan: What a wonderful experience for you. A reward for your effort maybe. I had placed 28 of my early rhymes on YouTube. I read each one in the same old sweatshirt. It was fun but I recently removed them for lack of viewers. YouTube isn't quite like Soup. I got about 800 views, total, in about 4 years. :o) Congrats again on your interview. oldbuck

Thanks old Buck - would love to see some of your older poems i couldn't see the Christmas goose one you mentioned - please re-post it one day:-) The BEST thing to happen on the day the interview was aired is my poetry partner Darren Watson got in touch with me - not heard from him since October as he has not been well - the upshot of it is we have started to write together again for the first time in a year - i am on cloud 9:-) hugs janxx

Thanks Shadow - the BEST thing about yesterday was getting an e mail from Darren - after a 9 months silence the timing couldn't have been more perfect - simply meant to be:-) i hope and pray in time jadazzle will be reunited once again:-) hugs jan xx

If you go to 'on demand' 'women today' and go to 5th august - the interview is about 15 minutes into the programme. i do hope you get to hear it Thomas - some other's have had issues getting to the interview I would so love for you to hear it:-) hugs jan xx

It was amazing Demetrios but the BEST thing was to hear from my writing partner Darren Watson - after 9 months of no contact to hear he is recovering from his health issues is the best thing in the world:-) hugs jan xx

If you click on listen again and 'women today' underneath there is a list of dates - you should be able to click on 5th august- hopefully you will be able to hear it:-) hugs jan xx

lol! I was listening to your radio interview when I got your reply...hahaha... I loooove your accent! The stiff upper lip! It was a very good interview if I may say so myself. The last time I had was so long ago...:-)))

It was a bit of a shock to hear other's reading my words but I think it worked well. I had recorded about 7 poems so when I heard the woman's voice - I thought -that doesn't sound like me at all lol:-)

ha ha ha I don't have a particular accent and I'm defnitely not posh lol - the main thing is I am not scared to speak in front of the microphone in fact I was a hospital radio presenter ... that is how I met my hubby:-) hugs Jan xx
