My Heart's Song

Lord here I am here I stand. I come to you asking you… What am I to do? Why am I here? After all these years I'm still so very clueless, And sometimes I feel so useless. As we all walk through life we want to feel like we belong And that oh Lord is my heart's song Lord here I am , here I stand? I long to know your plan….. After all these years am I still so very clueless, And sometimes and I feel so useless. I long to know your plan and where... oh where do I stand? Because…… I need to know my purpose in this thing called life. 7-18-19 Alexis Y. * I very seldom pen poems such as this, however I felt compelled to write this.

Hi Alexis, Funny how sometimes we need to, besides wanting to, put pen to paper and expel these words that come tumbling out of our brain - I would hate to look inside my brain, I might not like what I see - sincere write dear Alexis, this is why I love your poetry so much! Hugs, Jen.

This is wonderful, Alexis. So glad you let your heart guide your pen this time. As Adeniji commented below, this was 'straight from the heart.' Just beautiful. Best wishes, Gershon (soup mail, please)
