My Heart Stopped Beating With Yours
You touched my heart the first time
I laid eyes on you. A crime
I thought, I just wasn't ready
tied with one breath and steady,
a hunger to be happy,
promise of a family.
Waiting on the front steps of
the inn, a pain cry, my love
went down. His heart erupted;
our life was interrupted.
Fell to my knees, whirling storm
beside his unmoving form.
The sun crests the horizon
causing my life to wizen.
How long I said not a word
only the rustling leaves heard.
Love never dies, love endures.
My heart stopped beating with yours.
