My heart cries from the inner essence of my being And my spirit is slowly dying Because I miss the simple things That true love and affection could bring Like holding hands or just cuddling And hugging each other every now and then And talking to each other for hours on end about anything and everything And I miss all the other things in between Because it gave my life a whole new meaning And a deeper understanding of everything And now that all of those things have been missing My heart cries from the inner essence of my being And my spirit is slowly dying Because I miss the simple things That true love and affection could bring
