My Guiding Light

Have I ever told you
that I'd be lost without you?
You are my guiding light;
without which, I would be blind.
Fate favored me,
the day we met:
I feel forever blessed.
Do you know that when I sleep:
you sweeten my dreams;
defying reality
on the wings of hope?
Are you aware that you saved my life?
But for you, I would have ended it
long ago.
I was a nobody, just another toad,
with my many faults.
But you saw past my warts:
and through your eyes
I got to see
that I was a good man.
Thank you for your love:
and for believing in me.
