My Granddaughter

She sits with her head tilted over her shoulder The typical sixteen-year-old, or not much older, Her long brown hair sweeps down to her spine This sweet graduating granddaughter of mine. Her eyes sparkle and her smile lights the room Boys see her coming, and their hearts go varoom It’s abundantly clear she is happy as a girl can be And I am thrilled she sent this portrait to me. written October 12, 2021

Her older sister is a senior at Florida Central University, I think. Lauren, she's in International Business and Pre-Law. Lindsay (the one whose picture I was describing) is in her first year of college now and has no idea what she wants to be, but both girls are very smart...and super good-looking, too. I'm really happy they both have their heads screwed on straight. Lauren, at FCU, is going to school on full scholarships (no student debt) and is already working for an attorney. I'm proud of my girls!!!

She must be very bright as well as pretty, Milt. Will she still be 16, or will she have turned 17 by graduation. In either case, she seems to be ahead of the rest of her class. Three cheers, Gershon

She's 17 now, Gershon, but she is very, very bright and has entered her first year of college.
