My Future Is Today

Often, mind’s found in unwanted places,
and I recall a face but not the name.
Time has been kind and left a few traces,
but still sometimes I will often misname.
I try living life one day at a time,
But sometimes my thoughts settle on the past.
I don’t make many plans beyond bedtime,
for today’s sunrise just might be my last.
