My First Love - Swannet

When I first met her my heart skipped a beat Stammering I spoke a few inane things How could she know she had plucked my heart strings Why did I look down only at my feet And not into her eyes and tell her so She spoke to me in a soft gentle way Her words touching my very soul that day Beautiful music strumming away fears That better part of me lifted my head Her smile was like a wondrous day in May All my clouds of fear were pushed away I told her my name and then asked for hers She said she lived close by on a near street that she was happy we happened to meet.
