My Experience Strength and Hope

My Experience Strength and Hope

Crimson wounds the world cannot see
Scab over just in time to be ripped off again
These wounds I do not hide
They bleed from the inside

Left, right, forward
So many paths one may choose’
We are the architects of our lives

It is all up to me
How prosperous I will be
I have grown wiser and my choices are no longer so visceral for me

Blame gets one nowhere
Once you are grown, it is all you
So wachUgonna do?

I seek the balance for a full and fruitful life
I know pain waits by the riverside
Again, I will meet strife
Meanwhile, on my quest for balance
I am experiencing life
Surely not on MY terms
Yet I can choose to respond and not react

Make no mistake these wounds are real
The Universe can heal just give it all your blood sweat and tears

Things that come easy do not tend to last
It is when you work and never say die
Things attained just may stay
Still no guarantees, do not dismay

So much easier to give excuses, give up settle
Oh no, Not me!

I have overcome merciless obstacles and am once again thriving
The Universe must have real special plans for me!

I can strangle each demon that I know to be ~ others replace them
No pity

The key for me is to have a purpose in life way higher than me
To wake each day with a purpose in sight, attainable you see

And never stopping balancing it’s a tough ‘act’ you see
Constantly toggling for a balance
Cause you can sure count on constant change
Balance to keep

A little conundrum experience, I share so life is not such a mysterious mystery

Find your purpose and constantly seek balance
Sounds soooo easy

I really like how you expressed your experience, strength and hope. You have a real gift, several it appears :) I find balance by 'staying in the moment', which has been quite a challenge. Enjoyed and thank you!

Yes Susan, if I can Stay in the moment long enough, that's being able to accept the precious present, the gift of today! Thank you for your kind, heartfelt words :)....peace, jill

well I really don't want the balance, that may sound odd....all I am saying is I want 88% God....I don't lie, cheat, steal, kill or even fight you see....but there is 1 very STRONG weakness inside of me....those eyes, toes, booties, breasts....you already know what she is, I wont even say the rest....very nice poem jill....;)

Thank you so much Kelli! You may be to young but your rhyme brought me back to playing in the huge lake in NY, with my childhood friend, singing "rock the boat, don't tip the boat over" Motown/r&b May you and yours enjoy the most prosperous New Year ever..:), jill
