Dad, you died far too soon. I wanted years to hold your hand in mine still warm and strong. Doctors told me there was no hope for mom to let her go, to stop care. Still weep, mom. ___________________________ November 2, 2020 Poetry/Tetractys/My Eternal Grief Copyright Protected, ID 11-1299-841-02 All Rights Reserved, 2020, Constance La France Written for the Standard contest, Double Tetractys 5 sponsor, Eve Roper, Inspiration Image #2, Judged 11/13/20 First Place

Poignant one, Dear Heart. I see a lot of people choosing this picture. I may be one of the few choosing the dog on the sofa!

Andrea, thanks for the compliment, yes I imagine this is the popular image, I liked the dog on the sofa but as I never had a dog I would find that one difficult, I know you have had dogs and I imagine a beautiful poem for the contest from you _Constance
