My Dearest Friends
The Friends I hold so dear, are the friends so far away
I've never seen so clear, then on this Dismal day
When life gets in a mottle, and reality's sublime
I reach out to those Friends
Those dearest friends of mine
I sometimes feel a presence , of a shadow over me
A restlessness of tides in the cosmos of the sea
And when the loneness is near, and I no longer can abide
I reach out to my friends
Those dearest friends of mine
I have never seen their faces, I have never heard their voice
But something by their nature, makes me make them friends of choice
And if by chance we meet, by luck or by design
My only expectations is
They are Dearest Friends of mine
