My Dear Old Friends - My Shoes

I have a pair of friends I've had for years

Should we part I would surely drown in tears

          Together we've trod byways

               Although we've seen better days

My scruffy old shoes that I bought at Sears

Very sentimental entry, Bob. Almost bought tears to my eyes (Ha Ha). Good luck my friend. Ralph

Bob, no use for anyone else entering after that heart-felt rendition for Skat's contest. But I will look my shoe poem over soon. Thanks for your kind remarks on my poems. I'll watch for more of yours, Sergeant. You also remind me of my military days in the 137th FBW, Alexandria AFB and the 6004th AISS FEAF. S/Sgt, JET

That's a cute one, Bob. I think my father used to buy his shoes at Sears; he wasn't much into fashion. Best wishes in the contest! Love, Carolyn

Robert, you have another great limerick that SKAT will notice easily. This should be a contender for the contest.
