My Cousin Glenn
He is always right; has always been.
His ideas are sound, my cousin Glen.
He makes no apology for his confident ways.
I try not to spend time with him most days.
During vacation and good weather.
He sticks to me like a duck’s downy feather.
He wants to be seen as a friend of Heather.
I absolutely do not enjoy this time together.
Glenn is bossy and overbearing and angry too.
He often leads me into a conversation that makes me blue.
I beg my parents to leave me at home with my dog Lou.
But they tell me getting along is what relatives must do.
