I like my cats although they are brats spoiled as can be showing disdain for me. Spying me from somewhere, they merely calmly stare. I call to one; away he may run! Sometimes surprised am I. I tell you why. They actually come near lending me some cheer. Their purring is brief but brings me relief. Affection seemingly on display I take any day!

My favorite was when visiting my Aunt and I would close the bedroom door so her cat wouldn’t come in, until I realized it was her favorite spot, on the bed, in the warmth of the sun. A little while later I was at the kitchen table and felt her paws on my lap..she was thanking me…so sweet…she passed away a couple weeks ago.

Nice one Andrea. Good contender. I am not so much a cat person. I am a dog person but cats and dogs are part of the family and have their own personalities

We have had dogs and we have one right now that chases the cats. She is a good dog. But dogs are disgusting. We needed a gate to keep her from eating out of the cat's litter box. In my life I had one very special dog that loved only me. I was his person and I loved him so much. But in general, I am a cat person

I also have cats and each have their own unique personality. I like both the humor and rhyming scheme you've managed to convey. Another lovely little miracle from one of my fav poets (Andrea).

Cats are certainly different than dogs, that's for sure. Im not what you would call a cat person but I do understand what pets can do. Id be lost without my little buddy. Great to see you again, Andrea.

the ginger cat is a real pain. He is so smart that he figured out how to escape to the outside by following the dog out the smart door, a flap which is designed to only permit the dog out. Then late at night, Simba wakes me from my sleep meowing to be let in off our deck!

I have had a few REALLY good cats. I don't know how I got stuck with these two though. Chico the white one can be really sweet . I just wish for more than five min. a day!!
