My Blue Moon

How I long for you, My sweet blue moon To see your face, Sparkling and glistening, High above once again To see you in Your brilliance of the night, Kindly shining so all can see In the darkness around To see you, so Beautiful and perfect In every way possible, I'm infatuated with you And want to make you mine And keep you next to My side always so I can share in your greatness, The grandness that brought Me running and hurdling to you I want to see you During the worst parts Of my life Just so you can Show me a little joy Knowing you are there, Just as I would do For you in your Darkest and dimmest hours I want to see you In the most dazzling Time of my life To make it shine Even brighter than before And we'd have such A happy little time together, A moment etched lovingly Into our history I want to see you, My wonderful blue moon Because I've never Felt this way for Someone else, This passion, this happiness, This desire, this want, I've never had them But it's all I feel When I see you And I revel in them To my heart's content, The perfect ecstasy And bliss I could Ever hope to have Is what I get from you, My little blue moon I want the wonders That you can show me, The adventures you Could take me on, I want to be able To hold on to you Until the end of time The warmth of your aura Would keep me through The coldest of nights Because I'll know you Will be there, lingering In the sky above, Waiting until you can Appear once again I want to see you, My lovely blue moon And I hate that You can never come Out much, but I Still love you the same As I've always had, I'll carry you in The heart you made full Forever and ever Until next time, My sweet blue moon, I hope to see you Again in my lifetime And to have the gentle Kiss of your light Touch my skin once more Written on February 16, 2021
