My Bleeding Heart
Maybe blood will get on you, from my heart
My still bleeding heart beats for only you
I find pain so immense, you tear me apart
You have made me so lost by what you do
You destroyed my tenderness, my essence
Nothing remains in me but true heartache
I bleed because I’m alive, but with less
I thought at one time you’re my perfect mate
Things took a turn for worse one cloudy day
Large injury I acquired by your stab
In the dark you came wielding what you may
To hurt my heart, a wound without a scab
I’m glad you got some of my burning blood
Now listen, for my heart’s about to thud
