My Best Friend
My Best Friend
Someone here on earth to me was dear
Until into heaven she did disappear
After all the good experiences she had
Liked playing game that was called glad
(Pollyanna and the Glad Game)
If only like her one day I could be
I then too would have the ability
To understand all of those around
At her end would be heaven bound
Was warm to me and wouldn't harm a flea
What she saw in things was only beauty
Beside me will not ever exist again
Was my mom who best friend had been.

In response to Andrea Dietrich's Poem,
"The Fighter." after I printed it up and
re-read it. Her poem must have been
about someone who had been significant
in Andrea's life.
