*** UPDATE*** He is found and home safely :) A posted poem was put in after this.

I had a part wild cat/Bengal for 16 years Now, I face such dreadful fears He has gone missing, he is lost Summer feels like winter's frost He is vocal, talking every day Now, silence cuts like a knife, in a way Some of his toys he carried, lay on the floor Not knowing what happened, outside the door Waiting on alerts posted all over the state Searching the woods and my yard for his fate The centerpiece of the family is missing each day Nothing feels the same, I can only pray For his safe return and closure to all of this As the tears fall daily, for my baby, I miss Heidi Sands 9/4/18 *** UPDATE posted later. He was found close to a month after this :) He is home safely.

So sad when we lose our pet not to death but to missing. I hope you find it. It must be missing you terribly. Love your tender poem Heidi

So sad, but a beautiful, heartfelt plea. I am sorry for your "baby"that is lost. The waiting must be so very hard. In all of his years, he knows what is what. I hope that will bring him home to you. Have hope for his safe return.

This is very sad Heidi. I too have lost cats in the past. Some come home and sadly some don't. I have four right now and I worry about them all. Nicely written sadness.

I really appreciate your kind comment. A few poems continue to flow from me about this and this one was kind of rushed. It is unbearably hard. I completely understand your worry for yours.
