My Authentic Place
Writing is my survival
I write to survive havoc life brings
I write to express my love
And to capture nature, as the bird sings
I write to inspire others if I can
To show what I’ve learned
In this long life span
Writing is my survival
To express pain, dripped tears on pages
To release inner turmoil
So that it won’t turn to anger that rages
Writing is my survival
Scribbled words, to stay in the moment
Of a life that can go so fast
Trying to enjoy a moment well spent
I try to spread the beauty I see
I try to share what I feel
It all comes from within
My authentic place, to be real
