He reminds me every morning, As the sun caresses the peaks and thoughts Whispering peace and promise, prayer Through my spirit, where He resides… That His love is forever true, A love so alive it fills my heart with beauty My soul with grace – sincerity, praise! He lifts my heart with each dawn, Singing blessings through my yearnings Releasing my spirit from the darkness Nighttime shadows, doubts – anxieties The many reasons that I find Him to be The best thing in my life, the King The abiding peace and acceptance The love that directs me – faith that protects me! He guides me through this life, Always assuring and encouraging, steering me Toward the light, where I can find my prayers Stirring His heart, His support, His promises… Inspiring my faith to believe, always Sure of His wonders, His gifts The sanctification that He brings The joy, the song that brings peace He silences every fear and doubt, Colors my hopes in hues of revelation Insights into the mystery of a love That heartens and nurtures, persuades elation Pearls of wisdom, the fruits of the spirit… love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control He assures me of these gifts, And so much more… He promises to be with me through it all, The good and bad, the happy and sad, Through the shadows of doubt In the darkness of night Shimmering in the skies, starlight Reflecting all the love that He supplies To the life who becomes a living sacrifice… His child, following the Savior Believing and blessing, always confessing He is the way, the truth, the life He is the reason for every star in the sky He is the hope that helps me to survive He is the Son who makes my life worthwhile!
