My Apology

I’m sorry I didn’t see; I’m sorry I didn’t ask. I’m sorry I couldn’t hear your silent plea; I’m sorry I couldn’t crack your mask. I’m sorry you had to do this alone; I’m sorry you suffered in silence. I’m sorry you didn’t pick up the phone; I’m sorry you couldn’t tell me this. I’m sorry I left when you most needed me; I’m sorry I misunderstood your call. I’m sorry for what I didn’t want to see; I’m sorry for hurting you, most of all.
