My 10 Mile Run
Mile one
What a nice day
Nice breeze
Nice sun
Mile two
What a nice day
Nice breeze
Sky so blue
Mile three
Flowers bloom
Cool breeze
A playful bee
Mile four
What was I thinking
Mile five
Problem
Mile six
Lungs on fire
I realize now
I love the taste of air
Mile seven
AIR!!!
Mile eight
Who needs air?
Water has oxygen!
Mile nine
WATER!
Mile ten
Muscle twinges screaming
That last mile a battle
The prize
Knowing I can
Just like in life
When our faith is tested
Our endurance grows
