Mustafa - The unforgotten Saga

Mustafa - The unforgotten Saga

The betrayal had already begun;
The spells of an unwavering bond.
Ruptured has the membrane of fatherhood
Worthless, like blinded ‘Phthonus’ or ‘Laius’.

The destiny has carved the trap like a layman,
In my brimming youth that awaits to conquer.
Looked upon I am by my children and wives,
Did not heed to the web strengthened with steel and ‘brain’.

Doubtless was I on the future of my land,
Dreaming of my plans and expeditions.
A growing world beyond the territories that exist
A cradle I made for the future world.

I am not an offender, nor a victim
But a martyr, as, a peril for them.
The throne was wavering in ‘His’ last years
For a new era of women for good they say.

Known is the nobility for the desires and predatory.
It is never a choice but a mishap.
The scepter and the crown stained with blood and tears,
Alas! I have to beat the race with no mercy.

It is a promise and shield to my mother
It is a haven and heaven to the harem.
A stability that prospers the land,
A console and dream for the working lot.

The iron daggers and swords were worthless
But the cold eyes that were unbothered
Realizing the power and ambition in them
Dead I am already, succumbed to the ‘fate’.

Bleeding are my wounds ensuing a terrible battle,
The mind, the body and the soul couldn’t linger.
The sourness and salty tears that defeated me-
The thought of an ending stage of conspiracy.
Tore my heart apart the pain that was induced
My father – Suleiman the magnificent, my own father
Executing the plan in hostile was he, on his own dream.

The burrows that were dug can’t burry,
The hope and the love I had seeded.
The sharp lamenting cries and the prayers I heard,
Paved the path and open the gates of ‘Jannah’ for me.
