Murder At the Prom

Murder at the Prom

Frankie Lyman shrilled his falsetto.
Gwendolyn Gould danced in stilettos.
So callously smothered,
they never recovered.
Poor little piggies, scrunched little toes.

I was a shoe salesman once for a couple of years. I might, shamelessly, have sold Gwendolyn those stilettos. Screw Frankie! You be cool, Kathryn. Congrats on the selection. Love, daver

Hmmm, just high stepping around. If I can remember, my proms were a murdering ordeal. Or perhaps, I did not date well. Thanks for reading my recent work. Sometimes I wish I could float away.

Bravo! With all the build up the prom got during my senior year, it was one of the most miserable nights of my life. Hot! Poorly fit tuxedo! Uncomfortable shoes! Lousy dance band! Love, daver

Okay, you have no idea how much I needed a smile and doll, you gave me two. Things are rocky here because hubby's job is teetering. Company will either close or employees are voiting a strike, which may end up boarding up the doors. This little gem made me giggle. Oh, I so remember heels. Now, I shlummy mommy (no yummy in sight). And that my poem moved you to send to friends??? Touched me so deeply I needed a tissue. You made my day, and I wanted you to know that. Smiles back, hugs, cyndi

Actually I never wore stilettos. 2 inchers were my limit. Now I'm flat to the ground in grandma shoes. The feeling of insecurity you describe has got to get you down. I'm sorry and hope the miracle happens for you and your husband. love, Kathy
