Murder a Memory
Memories are with us every day
from our very early days of life
some of them we would love to murder
cut them off mindfully by your knife
Although many memories are positive
and for them give thanks to God
but they're some you want to murder
use God's weapon of His divine sword
Ever wonder how the mind remembers
all these memories within all that's you
every day so many more comes our way
our capacity is unending whatever we do
But among these memories mixture
a number you want to be rid
whatever it takes, kill them at root
even some from when I was a kid
(I have written this after thinking of the bad memories we all would love to get rid of and how they can haunt us.)
