Multicolored Leaves

Autumn's annual changes are sublime;
multicolored leaves confetti the ground.
Next to Spring, Fall is my favorite time;
I enjoy every color, smell, and sound.
Wrapping Summer's dead in a colored shroud,
breezes weave tapestries not meant to last.
And using every color She's allowed,
Autumn's artistic skills are unsurpassed.
Gold, orange, and amber adorn the trees
as green leaves morph into colorful art.
Yet, mosaics crafted by each brisk breeze
will inevitably be blown apart.
The blossoms have withered and gone to seed,
waiting for the kiss of Spring to awake.
And as a scarlet sunset starts to bleed,
Winter arrives on a tumbling snowflake.
