Mr, Sandman

Mr. Sandman bring me a dream To last me all evening long While I slumber in my bed Yet to-night I toss and turn So work your magic on me Bring sleep sand for my dream I want to slumber all night long Take me to my special place To visit there by the shore Looking at the water to be calm To listen to the waves As they come to the shore I like the sound of water The waves are music to my ears It is so calming to relax Brings me peace of mind

The sea has a magic, I can tell you that first hand...I've lived around it all my life and it still amazes me...Water is therapeutic...Hope the Sandman come to your aid tonight...Until then have a nice day

Hello Micheal,yes the water is so soothing.Looking at it being calming.The sound of water is calming so relaxing. Mr. Sand man brings me to water when I am asleep. have a nice evening my friend.

Hello Darlene, This is a really neat and uplifting write on a familiar theme and old song. But I do really like your verse here. I'm for whatever works because the older I get, it seems that real-sustained sleep is a thing of the past. Have A Great Weekend, and thanks too for your recent comment on my "The Curve of Time" poem. Maybe "The Curve of Insomnia" might be a counter-theme to write about. Maybe . . . Cheers, Gary
