Hi Valsa , your lovely Haiku describes the picture you posted perfectly. It reminds me of a place in the North of Greece, there are three very tall skinny mountains or Cliffs in a row (CALLED THE MEETEORA , spelt phonetically). At the top live monks, and they never leave till they die, where upon their bodies thrown into a pit which goes right down forever. Went to see them many years ago, the only way up is by steps they have carved into the mountains. Unbelievable to see. Hugs, love. Jenn.

The unpaid sentries do a great service to humanity just by being there. Wonderful images, Valsa.

Yes indeed.... ! They act as barriers to prevent invaders. They block the speed of the wind and promote biodiversity.... Indeed they are unpaid sentries....Thanks a lot, Vijay

Great Haiku, Valsa. You did a wonderful job of conveying images, not just in the haiku but also in the picture.
