Mothers' Day On Lockdown

Got a Kindle for a gift, A present sweet and caring Especially since lack of books Had got me quite despairing. I’ve never wanted one before, Preferring paper pages But access has been limited As virus warfare wages. Though stuck at home, I, too, received Some calls and home-made greetings On cards created by the grands Displayed at FaceTime meetings. To celebrate on lockdown May seem slightly incomplete Yet to feel that love connection Is a most delightful treat!

If you have a library card, you can probably download books from an NYC library. But as you like fiction, why not do your grandchildren a favour and trace their genetic ancestry? It takes time, but you can do it for free, and the "true" story of your ancestors may exceed your thirst for fiction! Aloha! Rico

I was wary at first but wouldnt be without it now, there are many sites online where you can download books for free, you can't beat that. Lovely the grandkids got in touch, been doing the same with our grandkids, it's better than nothing but it's not the same. Hope you enjoyed the day Tom

The Kindle has changed my life because it makes it easy to correspond with my children and grandkids. I am like you, I miss holding books in my hands that I can highlight the good parts. It is just not the same. How sweet you got to see greetings from your grandkids that they made for you. Happy Mother's Day Ilene. I really enjoyed your poem! xxoo
