Mother's Day, Cats and Dogs

Isn't easier to be a mother to an loving animal that exhibits unconditional love 24/7 because of their inherent nature? Only demands, feed me, keep me warm and safe, care for me when I am sick, and make the hard decisions when my life is no longer as it should be. Or the children of the human persuasion, who sometimes don't, and can't realize, because of their nature, the sacrifices their mother's make for them, until they are young adults, perhaps regrettably never in their lifetimes. Mothers are the true hope of society. They carry the heavier load in raising children who can be givers not takers, demonstrate respect not indifference, not feel only entitled, but who want to willingly carry part of the load in their teen years and beyond. Mothers are the true superstars of our society, and should be give the recognition they deserve, along with the starlets of Hollywood, and the sports heroes who forgot where half their genes came from?
