Mothers

MOTHERS Mothers are a special part Of God and His Creation Throughout the ages of history They have helped to shape the nation There's Mary, the Mother of Jesus And Elizabeth, the Mother of John The names are far too numerous The list goes on and on But there's still one special Mother Who differs from the rest That's the one who rocked our cradle She's the very best So on this day that's set aside In tribute to our Mother Let each of us in our own way Remember there's no other Who could kiss away the hurts of life And dry each tear we cried And teach us things which later on Would make us swell with pride And in the night when fears arose She calmed them with a song And held us 'til we slept again And stayed with us 'til dawn Her words of wisdom from the heart Remain with us today And there's no other person Who can take our Mother's place Curtis Moorman Mother's Day 14 May 1995
