MOTHER NATURE SHEDS TEARS

My children ponder this, for something’s gone amiss. I bore and nurtured you. This I was proud to do and in your infant days I taught you proper ways. You played in pastures green, in woods and in the stream. You loved to watch the bee, feeding on nectar free. You were one with nature, your spirit, a treasure. But you’ve grown up and changed, from nature you’re estranged. As you drifted away your morals did decay. Your thinking is corrupt. Your spirit is bankrupt. You turn against your roots, cos you not care two hoots. It’s all about yourself and daft trinkets of wealth. Your shallow values show. Your higher-self sunk low. Your subconscious shouts loud, look at me I am proud. This planet that I made you plunder and degrade. The greed bug rules your mind. Your soul is left behind. Now love and tenderness, have turned to something less. Your soul is one hard shell that fosters evil spell. You exploit each resource, take what you want by force. You cause me much distress. My spirit you depress. My hopes for you were high but now you make me cry. In my advancing years, you bring me lots of tears.

Hi David. Many thanks for your comment. It seems we are flouting all of Mother Nature's rules. But, are we now seeing the backlash? I worry. Hope all is well in NZ with you and your family. Best wishes. Tony
