Mother and Child
Mother and Child
Mom is the source of light
Luminous glow in delight.
making journey of child bright.
Whether wicked or good
Child might turn on adulthood.
Mom could never be rude.
A birdie fed in nest
stays in peace and rest
but aiming for forest.
Eggs of some insects
nourished by juices.
of mother’s flesh.
When grown-up child pays
gratitude to Mom and says
‘You are my sun rays’
Mom could reply bold, not mild I
‘My sweet child
You are my success and pride.’
Parenthood if attained that phase
has the strongest base
to appreciate and praise.
