Mother

You passed the brink, crossed heaven's stair,

Oh Mother, Mother! Meet me there!

For nigh ten years are in between

Since your face was earthbound seen

                    Memories wake, such deep despair...

But Mother, Mother, meet me there

For sweet the promise, deep the Palm

My scars are His, He wields the balm

Dries tears, those tears were mine to hide

Poured from the spear wound in His side

You sought Him, thought Him, Savior Dear

And now you're with Him, He is here

He'll mend the broken, Heal the pain

And lift us up to life again

My heart was shattered, but God's grace shared

And others wounded, have sore worse fared

Much deeper wounds, than ever I

Who sought your love, and lullaby

But Mother still, a faith we share

Oh Mother, Mother! Meet me there!

Blessings to you too Anisha, thank you for your visit and comment. I know we share an understanding of the love and pain... and the blessings of others who contributed to our nurturing as children, I still remember a poem you shared on Mother's Day and a brief discussion we had, so I really appreciate your visit and comment. I hope you are having a good weekend and that you are blessed <3

Your love for your mom is shown and felt here BJ. We will see our loving parents some day in heaven, that will be a special day and our Dear Jesus who is the reason we are there. A favorite reminds me of my mom and dad... Thanks for the inspiration to look forward too...

Yes, I loved her. She was a bit difficult in life sometimes, a beautiful rose, and she did have thorns too! But I believe that all the rough edges will be smoothed away, and we can really look forward to joyful times minus the rough stuff our relationship suffered sometimes in this realm. I miss taking her on vacation and visiting her home. Christmas isn't the same without my mom. The Holidays are approaching and leave me with an ache in my heart already. I miss shopping for her gifts, driving over to her house on Christmas Eve, playing the part of Santa and delivering her presents, and visiting with her. She loved the Holidays so much. We have so much hope in our eternal destiny, and she was a believer. She was a tad bit spoiled, with six kids and twenty-four grandkids + great grandkids to spoil her :) Life is not the same without her. Thank you for your visit and uplifting comment Michael :)

A mothere's love is incomparable and ever lasting. She is the one in whom we seek solace when in pain. Most of us of our age group have lost our mothers and we live on their sweet memories. Our mothers are with their Heavenly Father . Let us hope to meet them in God's presence . Your deep bond with your mother, I sense here. A beautiful bouquet of memories, dear BJ

Thank you Vijay, I use to write her poems for Mother's Day and her birthday, I came across some from when I was little. She always loved my poems written for her. I hope she gets this one delivered by the angels :) <3
