Notes About The Poem

Mosquito Mayhem

Today I met a mosquito It wasn’t very fun She bit me here, she nipped me there (she even bit my bum) But I had the last laugh... I squashed her with my thumb! 1st November 2015

This mosquito sounds familiar I thought he spoke Spanish, or would have been mosquita? He haunted my rhythmic dreams last night insisting I encourage you in the very most positive way to "at least get my squashed identity gender right" and that's all he had to say. Except, he thought your poem fun memory for this week. So, maybe he actually had the last laugh. Gerald Oliver

I had no idea the mosquitoes who bite us were female lol - I have never been bitten until we went to Malta last week - thankfully we don't have mosquitoes on our little Island:-) hugs Jan x

Very good little verse Jan, mosquitoes damn horrible little things, they cause a deadly disease called Ross River Virus over here, but it is quite rare, you mainly get them in the wetlands and we try to keep away from them, hope you are well, take care.......Vera

Death to mosquitoes! Death to fleas. if only a poem could kill every parasite - shame on them all. BUT, all we can do is scratch and find the humor so I really appreciate this poem ... CayCay
