More Than Anything, I Long For Thee

So long have you awaited my call. So long have I bled for your presence. Nonetheless, Take hid to my call at once. When a thought is conceived, Come hither. When my tongue is to unwind, Be there. My need for Thee surpasses that of day for the sun. I need Thee like a bird need wings to be free, like the night sky needs the moon. I shall pursue Thee like the waves, like the waves of the sea pursue the shore. On the other hand unlike the waves, I shan’t lure back once I have reached your shore. Thy scent to me is as that of a rose to a bee. From Thee I shan’t flee, for I know that truly I would be free. Once You dare rest on my heart, just like the Venus fly trap, I shall instantly slam my heart shut! For indeed you would have your grip. In my unresponsiveness, shun me not. Thus I discharge my witlessness So that you may have my perfect heart. More than anything I long for Thee. Nearer I pray. Come closer, make haste to my plea. I thirst for Thee. I am the dry ground. Pour Thy Spirit on me. Rain on me so that I can be fertile ground. More than anything I long for Thee. Oh precious Lord, Holy Spirit Rain down on me till the grass and willows spring out of my heart.

You are not among the struggling poets out there. You are in charge of your pen. Your thoughts are distinct and your words well chosen. Great love poem. 7+++!
